The Fijian Broadcasting Corporation yesterday launched their user friendly FBC mobile app.

Chief executive officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the all-encompassing free app was available both on IOS and android platforms.

“The success of the FBC app is so unprecedented that although we set out for it to become the best rated media app in Fiji for the public and our clients,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

“It has not only achieved this in record time but has also in a short week become the overall best rated app in the country.”

Users will be able to watch missed news bulletin, current affairs, livestream of music and all of FBC’s six radio stations.

A “Hot Deals” page is also available on the page displaying specials for the week or month under different categories.

“All these elements allow your brands to stay relevant with not only Fijians here but the diaspora as well,” he said.

Apart from the launch, FBC has also revamped its Gold FM radio station.

“This exhaustive effort to provide the best not just for the Fijian public but also for our business partners has already paid us major dividends,” he said.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum added they would expand the popularity of their evening news.

“From next week the 12th of April in commemorating our 10th year of prime-time national TV news, FBC evening news at 7pm will be a full hour.”

He also thanked what he called the young, passionate, and dynamic team at the FBC.
