Natadola Beach Day for Levan Bouadze

Fiji had always been on Levan Bouadze’s bucket list. Now it’s ticked off the list. Mr Bouadze, took up his post as the UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji Resident Representa­tive in 2019.

Originally from Georgia, Mr Bouadze loves rugby.

Before joining the Pacific office in July, 2019, Mr Bouadze did stints in Uzbekistan, Slovakia, Geneva, Brussels, Belarus, New York and his home country Georgia.

“I am head of UNDP in the Pacific Region. “Our organisati­on is one of the largest developmen­t agencies of the UN system focusing on resilience and sustainabl­e developmen­t including climate change, effective governance and inclusive growth.

“I have been in the UN in different countries for more than 20 of which less than two in beautiful Fiji.

“Such a blessing to be in Fiji and enjoy its incredible beauty and warmth of its people.” Mr Bouadze, his wife Nino and their friends enjoyed their Easter weekend gateway enjoyed the first ever Natadola Beach Day at

the InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa. The couple checked in at the five star Natadola resort on Thursday, April 1 and checked out on Monday, April 5. InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa is dedicated to evolving this monthly event and there are already plans in place to grow this event to allow for a variety of different experience­s each month.

At the Natadola Beach Day, he had much fun.

“We spent most of our day in water doing various activities and ended it with a nice event with a variety of great food and live music.”

The couple, said some of the highlights from the Natadola Beach Day was “everything about the event was great: ambiance, food, weather... “.

Mr Bouadze said he would definitely recommend the InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa’s Natadola Beach Day to other people.

How many places have you visited so far in Fiji?

I have been in many places in Fiji for work but never for holidays, largely because my family does not live with me here.

In fact my wife and son have just arrived in Fiji and it is our first holiday here.

What’s your secret backyard favourite spot? Probably one fo the picturesqu­e and paradise like spots with waterfall near Lavena village in Taveuni.

What’s your favourite place in coffee?

Fiji for a pie/

You can find me at Paradiso in Suva more often than anywhere.

What’s one spot your bucket list?

I have not yet been on an island vacation, so will explore that.
