DIGICEL PREMIER LEAGUE
ALL THE LATEST ACTION AND RESULTS AS THEY GUN FOR THE TOP SPOT.
Rewa football coach Rodick Singh said they need to work hard if they are to beat Ba in their next Digicel Premier League clash. Singh made the comment yesterday after the Delta Tigers thumped Moshin Insulation Nadroga side 3-0 at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
What happened: The scorching heat failed to deter the teams from giving their all right from the opening whistle.
Rewa took the lead in the 34th minute when striker Anish Khem capitalised on a blunder by the Nadroga defence to slot in the first goal. Halftime: Rewa 1-0 Nadroga
The Stallions came back strongly but superb goalkeeping by Mohammed Alam denied them a goal.
In the 73rd Rewa striker Samuela Nabenia extended their lead to 2-0. Rewa kept on the pressure and in the 77th minute Khem scored his second goal and the team’s third.
Comment: Rewa Singh said:
“When the players perform well the results come and that is why we won today.
“Definitely there are lot of areas that we need to work on especially on our attacks.
“If we had made use of those goal scoring opportunities we would have recorded a bigger win. We’ll work on our finishing.”
