- LUSIANA TUIMAISALA SUVA F: lusiana.tuimaisala@fijisun.com.fj

Twenty-one strata units out of 26 of the Uduya Point Apartments (UPA) have been sold out to potential buyers.

The Uduya Point property is managed and promoted by Blue Horizon Property Group (BHPG).

BHPG general manager, Mark Acraman, said that quite few buyers were from overseas, and the rest locals, embassys and businesses. A joint venture between Hari Punja & Sons (HPS) and Pacific Building Solutions (PBS), the building opened its doors last month with an event styled to suit its grandeur and attended by prominent business guests including the ‘who’s who’ of property development in Fiji, members of the diplomatic community and their family members. Mr Acraman said: “After all the hard work that was put in by all those involved, mine is the absolute pleasure of introducing this beautiful, brand new, one of a kind, waterfront development which my team now affectionately calls UPA.”

He acknowledged the input of all stakeholders who contributed to making UPA what it is today - the investors, bankers, architects, engineers, lawyers, accountants, real estate brokers, building contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

“We are indebted to you for your continued hard work and support,” Mr Acraman said.

“Most large scale development projects like UPA face barriers and challenges as a norm, but persistency and the drive to succeed was what eventually propelled this development to successful completion,” he said.

“We were challenged by well-intentioned neighbours who thought we might ruin this pristine oceanfront environment by a large-scale development.

“We braved three major cyclones, the start of an economic downturn and most recently the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Interested parties are invited to view the apartments privately by calling Mr Acraman on 900-6407.
