Tanoa signature dish ready to serve
If you’re ever within the vicinity of a Tanoa Hotel Group property, check out its signature dishes sure to fulfil your appetite.
The hotel group, owned by Reddy Group of Companies launched the Tanoa Signature Dish, at the newlyrenovated Tanoa Waterfront Hotel yesterday.
It did so after a stringent foodtasting event in the presence of guests, Tanoa Hotel Group executives and food gurus.
The signature dishes are Tanoa Burgers, Tanoa Fish ‘N’ chips, and Tanoa Curries (Chicken, Fish and Lamb).
All the head chefs, with their culinary team, got together and worked on enhancing their top five most selling dishes, said area general manager Fiji Narend Kumar.
The goal? For the dishes to remain consistent.
Mr Kumar said the concept would later expand to their properties in Tonga and Samoa as well.
“This has been one of the many initiatives taken by our focus groups to enhance our guests
overall stay experience across all
our Fiji hotels,” he said. “Be it at Tanoa Plaza Hotel, Suva,
Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel, Tanoa Waterfront Hotel, Lautoka, Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi, Tanoa Apartments Nadi and Tanoa Skylodge Hotel, Nadi.”
Local goal
Mr Kumar said because the hotel group was 100 per cent locally-owned, locally managed they would also promote local products in the ingredients.
“To support Fijian Made yet create an infused taste to suit both local and international taste buds,” Mr Kumar said.
This initiative is part of the vision of the owners, YP Reddy, chairman of Reddy Group of Companies, managing director Rohit Reddy, and director Kamini Reddy.
Chief judge Mohammed Joseph, who has over 30 years in Fiji’s tourism culinary industry, was overwhelmed with the strategy undertaken by the group.
“Food presentation is very important in the culinary industry, and this augurs well with the Tanoa Group,” he said.
