- SHREYA KUMAR LAUTOKA

Lisa Paisley has been at the forefront of creating a connection between food security, local farmers and poverty alleviation.

Co-founder of Aggie Global Pty Limited, social business connecting local farmers to market is an Australian who has over time fallen in love with Fiji.

The 26-year-old has been working with Fijian farmers since 2016.

She is currently based in Australia.

What are some of your hobbies?

During the global pandemic, I’ve been getting into art and testing out watercolour.

But when I can get outside and travel I love being outside or having a delicious brunch with a big mug of coffee.

How many places in Fiji have you been to?

I’ve mostly been around Sigatoka, Nadi and Suva.

But I’ve been lucky enough to visit some inland villages like Keiyasi, stay on a farm along the beach in Pacific Harbour and been to a family friend’s wedding in a village 40 minutes outside Savusavu, which was an amazing experience.

What is the one place in Fiji you would take every visitor to?

Some place close to home.

When I have family over for a visit, I love taking them for a drive up the Sigatoka Valley Road to show them the scenery and farm life but also wandering around town to show them all my favourite places.

What is your favourite place for a pie/coffee, and why?

Definitely Taste Fiji Cafe in Namaka, Nadi. It was always a taste of home and had the best breakfast.

What is your spot, and why?

favourite secret backyard

It’s probably not much of a secret, but when I needed to get out of the house, sitting or walking along the beaches along Olosara Road in Sigatoka was always great.

Visiting the waterfall behind Sigatoka town was also a good option, especially walking up the river to explore the area some more.

What is the one spot in Fiji on the top of your bucket list, and why?

Scuba diving, anywhere in the country, is on my bucket list.

I’ve never done it before but I’ve only heard great things and I think Fiji is the country to do it in.
