Pre-Fiji Day opening labelled good omen for Rainbow Cooltech
For Rainbow Cool Tech (Fiji) Pte Ltd managing director Naushad Sharif, the opening of his latest outlet at Namaka in Nadi is testament to his belief in Fiji and of good times ahead.
“This could not have come at a better time than just before this year’s Fiji Day,” Mr Sharif said.
“Our country has suffered a lot through the pandemic so this Fiji Day is special in that we have overcome the pandemic with a brighter future looming on the horizon.
“My company has been through the same pains but we have remained positive and also looking at the brighter future which Fiji is headed towards.”
The company, which is involved in air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and now solar products, has established itself having provided top shelf service and works for some of Fiji’s large companies and major resorts.
Its air-conditioned works targets commercial, industrial and domestic air-conditioning and refrigeration and involves all scopes
of work that is associated with this.
“We also are specialised in the construction or building and maintenance of cool rooms and freezer rooms,” Mr Shariff said.
His latest investment in the new outlet at the Prime Complex at Concave Drive in Namaka, which he has has shifted from Martintar, is, according to Mr Shariff his confidence despite the gloom of the pandemic.
He now has three branches; one each in Sigatoka, Nadi and Suva.
He has plans to expand further up north with an outlet and he has already earmarked October 23 as the opening day for an upgraded Suva outlet which he said will showcase new products.
“At the same time I have to thank Westpac and the Fiji Development Bank for their back up and support during these difficult times.
“FDB’s COVID-19 Recovery Credit Guarantee Scheme, the Bank has truly lived up to its development role during such challenging circumstances by providing us with such timely assistance.”
Mr Sharif said his success came through hardwork, dedication and most importantly blessings from his father Umar Shariff, wife Saidul Nisha and children Umar Zaid, Umar
Shahid and Amina.
He also paid tribute to two important women who passed on, his mum Amina Sharif and mother in law Sairul Nisha.
“Also the loyalty and hardworking 20 staff working in the company played a major role in where we are today.”
The company has ventured in LED solar lightings and systems, decorative chandeliers and ceiling and wall lights, weather proof fittings, diffuser lights, generators and solar panels up to 5000 watts.
“These solar panels are good for homes where it will power up refrigerators or freezers, television and lightings.
“We have installed many of these in Keiyasi and Semo in Sigatoka.”
The company has just received its latest products and parts which are sourced mainly from Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
Mr. Naushad had started his career working for an air conditioning company where he learnt to ply his trade.
His hard work and commitment to open his own business saw him start off on a small scale in 2007 and since then has provided his clients the highest standard of professionalism.
It is his vision to establish Rainbow Cool Tech (Fiji) Pte Ltd all around the country and make it the go-to company with the services that is on offer.
Rainbow Cool Tech (Fiji) Pte Ltd has been awarded with a number of contracts in maintaining to the standard human comfort zones (refrigeration and air conditioning) in the hotel industry such as Shangri La Fijian Resort, Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa, Naviti Resort, Crusoe’s Retreat, Radission Blu Resort and Fiji Beach Resort & Spa – Managed by Hilton.
The company also secured a number of contracts with established companies including Vodafone Fiji Limited, Williams and Gosling and the Fiji Commerce Commission.
Mr Shariff said he was a proud company director in that throughout the pandemic from it his Fiji last year, he has continued to maintain more than 90 percent of his staff on the payroll.
“I have been blessed from when I ventured out on my own to start my business which shows if you are dedicated, committed and honest with your work, you will go a long way,” he said.
