Heineken House opens at Denarau
Heineken House Restaurant and Bar on Denarau’s Golf and Racquet Club reopened after a temporary six months shut down.
It did so with a list of a wide range of new and exciting activities, a refreshed menu with a family-style pop up barbeque including an onsite disc jocke.
The restaurant received positive turnout from locals since reopening.
The venue features a sports lounge, complete with live coverage of sports on a large-screen television, and a 360-degree licensed bar for alcoholic beverages and cocktails.
Trial
The multi property vice president, Fiji and Samoa for Marriott International and the general manager for Sheraton and Westin Resorts, Fiji, Neeraj Chadha, said chefs were trialing and recreating new menu items.
As part of the COVID-safe measures, guests must ensure: pre-booking is made, careFIJI app is switched on on mobile phones, proof of check-in and check-out, proof of complete vaccination, body temperatures recorded on arrival, and distanced seating arrangements.
Refreshed menu
The clubhouse now offers a new addition to the menu, the Mediterranean Kofta Sampler platter.
The platter includes authentic, well-seasoned lamb and chicken kofta charred on open flame, Greek salad, pita bread, tzatziki including other traditional condiments.
The clubhouse supports local partners and suppliers, incorporating into the menu, Vanua Levu shrimp tacos, rourou (taro leaves) in coconut cream and chana masala.
Chip and Win
The clubhouse offers guests the chance to show-off chipping skills
in order to win prizes.
With one winner daily from Wednesday to Sunday, participants could win prizes ranging from beer
buckets to dining experiences at the refurbished Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort’s new restaurant outlet, Island 619.
The restaurant opens for lunch and dinner from 12pm to 8pm.
