FMF supports breast cancer awareness
Through its social media platforms, FMF Foods Limited has been creating awareness on Pinktober, highlighting the importance of early detection.
Sales made from the pink FMF breakfast crackers will be donated to the Fiji Cancer Society. This is part of the company’s contribution towards Pinktober and raising awareness on breast cancer.
FMF Foods Limited’s Marketing Manager Amrita Priyadarshani said Pinktober is an important event to show support to Fijians affected by breast cancer.
She said as a brand, FMF Foods Limited always celebrated the good times, however they cannot forego supporting Fijians in difficult times.
“The pink biscuit is our understanding of the pink ribbon, the FMF breakfast cracker is such an iconic product in the Fijian market, and it was easier to break the myth by developing the pink breakfast cracker then to pass out ribbons,” she said.
FMF Foods Limited is also raising awareness on breast cancer through its main campaign “Spot the Pink Biscuit, Break the Myth, State the fact”.
Ms Priyadarshani said this campaign was to encourage Fijians to share and spread the right
information on breast cancer and break the myths.
She encourages customers to shop and donate by purchasing an FMF wheatcracker 300g packet, 2kg and 5kg FMF Breakfast Cracker pails sporting pink lids.
“Spot the biscuits found in the pink breakfast cracker pails or 375g breakfast cracker packet break the myth and state the fact on your social media pages to share awareness,” she said.
