Lifting of Containment Borders benefits Businessman, pursues long-term dream
The lifting of the containment borders on Viti Levu and the ease of a number of restrictions has greatly benefitted Nadi businessman, Anushil Gounder.
His long-term dream to expand his business was now on a roll.
Mr Gounder is currently running his Expresso Onestop drivethrough alongside a mini canteen and a carwash at Lovu, Lautoka enabling him to rake in cash to support his wife, Kelera Railoa and daughter, Haylene.
However, he has plans to expand the business soon by establishing an outside eating area, expanding the carwash setup and constructing a new tyre centre.
He said the whole investment was worth $20,000.
Expansion
“It is an expansion from the previous shipping container I had hired and turned into a mini canteen, and sold from there but this time I saved enough money and bought my own shipping container,” he said.
“Now with the expansion of my business, there will be three bases for my carwash. I will also open a tyre centre, when it is completed we will then work on the restaurant and work on the outside area.
Lifting of containment borders
“The lifting of the borders and lifting of some restrictions have benefitted my business greatly, I have been busy since then and with the expansion of my small eatery and shop, it will rake in more cash for us.”
He said the design of the new eating area is expected to cater for no more than 15 people.
He is looking to create more job opportunities for residents around the Lovu area.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-November. com.fj
