The Acting Divisional Police Commander East Senior Superintendent of Police Koro Lesikimaloku paid tribute to the commitment and contribution of members of the Nausori Market Vendors Association.

The Association held their Christmas Party which coincided with the Launch of the Eastern Division Operation Festive Season whereby the Acting Divisional Police Commander acknowledged the hard work of its members in contributing to the growth of the economy.

The Acting Divisional Police Commander used the opportunity to enlist the support of the Association as we enter the busy festive season.

“Today, marks the commencement of the festive season operations for not only the Eastern Division but for the Fiji Police Force as a whole.

“Christmas and New Year patterns have always been associated with hype of social activities and movement of people from rural to urban and vice versa with merry making associated with excessive consumption of alcohol”.

Acting SSP Lesikimaloku says

adopting simple safety measures will assist with enhancing safety and security of our communities.

“There will be no better Christmas gift then to make sure that our loved ones are safe and this can be achieved if we all work together with an all hands on deck approach in prioritising the enforcement of covid 19 safety protocols, monitoring and reporting of criminal activities, preparation into the forecasted cyclone season and back to school for children”.

The Acting DPC East wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
