Bulitavu takes a swipe
SODELPA Member of Parliament (MP) Mosese Bulitavu has taken a swipe at his fellow MP Lynda Tabuya calling her an opportunist in the political landscape. Mr Bulitavu said Ms Tabuya was frustrated because her plot failed in execution. Mr Bulitavu was responding to comments from Ms Tabuya who questioned where he stood in the SODELPA political drama.
Ms Tabuya had said: “One moment he is pictured in front of Central Police Station reporting the party leader and general secretary to the police, reporting the party office to FICAC, next moment he is siding with the president, party leader and general secretary to protect them from answering to members regarding lying about management board resolutions that never happened.”
In response Mr Bulitavu said: “Fiji knows she is ambitious and likes the limelight. We all know she misleads the people with misinformation in her tik toks and social media posts. She lacks substance and facts with many times caught out.”
Mr Bulitavu said he had voted to allow a committee to investigate and make proper findings into the motion moved at the Management Board meeting by the Suva Constituency.
“It complied with the rules of natural justice and also allowed those being alleged to fairly respond. The Investigation Committee report will be brought back to the Management Board to determine,” he said.
“What Ms Tabuya pushed on Tuesday with her faction was to shortcut, move the motion with allegations, call for the vote and make changes at the same time. Most of the Management Board members were lost given they had no paper in front of them to base their judgement on. Like all allegations it has to be investigated and what will be established after scrutiny and investigation is reliable to make proper judgement.”
