The Nasinu Police Club side received a $2500 boost towards their 2022 football club season. While handing over the cheque, LICI general manager YS Ashok said the sponsorship would help the club in carrying out their duties.

“We are proud to sponsor the Nasinu Police team in this trying time, they are part of the frontliners during the pandemic and to help them continue playing football helps them keep fit ” Ashok said.

“Just like their brothers the RFMF they look after the safety and wellbeing of people in our communities and must keep fit. Football is one way they keep fit,” he said.

“We are glad to strengthen this partnership that will go a long way.

“It has been a long time coming, this year we tried to make this happened earlier but COVID really disrupted proceedings.

“To finally make it, is something special and that shows the commitment we have towards the Fiji Police Force.

“We hope this sponsorship will assist the team in so many good ways.

“When the teams are excited to play, we are also proud of providing our services to all Fijians.”

Fiji Police Director of Community Policing, Bereta Naisua said this was a thoughtful assistance for club members and the communities as they look forward to the new season.

“We are thankful as team especially at a time when times are hard,” Naisua said.

“I want to thank LICI for your commitment to the Fiji Police,” she said.

“We play a very important role in making sure that the safety and the security of the communities is maintained.

“It is an honour to be here and to receive such a kind gesture from LICI.

“This will really boost the side’s preparations and more importantly keeping our members fit and healthy.”
