Post Fiji and Fiji Chinese Cultural Centre continue working hand-in-hand
The Chinese Embassy presented a special gift on behalf of the China Cultural Centre to Post Fiji to dedicate their partnership for so many years.
The gift was handed over by the Deputy head of mission for Chinese Embassy, Counsellor Wang Xuguang to Post Fiji’s chief executive offer, Anirudha Bansod, during the company’s 150th celebrations.
Mr Xuguang said the Gift design was inspired by the Mobius ring, representing eternity.
“The designer wrote in his work: 150 years of dedication and brilliance have brought hope,” he said.
“We are grateful of the bond the Centre has with Post Fiji and we wish all the Staff at Post Fiji a hearty congratulations on this milestone achievement.”
He said the cooperation between Fiji Post and Fiji Chinese Cultural Center was as close and effective as the exchanges and cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Fiji.
“The two parties have been collaborating on Chinese New Year Stamp designing and launching since 2016,” he said.
“The artwork named “Light” which is made by China Cultural Centre in Fiji is a tribute to the 150 years’ service of Post Fiji.
“We sincerely celebrate the 150th anniversary of Post Fiji and we believe that in the days ahead, Post Fiji will continue to bring love and peace to the world.
Mr Bansod showed his humble gratitude towards China Culture Centre.
“Their gift to Post Fiji is very respectfully acknowledged. Post Fiji and China Culture Centre partnership and friendship are developing strength to strength.
“The China Culture Centre has been a true friend of Post Fiji for many years. They are also our customer, where every year they print and launch various Postal stamps as per the year significance.
“During this 150th Anniversary celebration, China Culture Centre, gave us a special award of 150 years, which is an incredible gesture from them.”
