Priti Lata is looking forward to send her children to school after a long break. The school for Primary level students will finally open after almost nine months.

Ms Lata said her children are very excited to go back to school especially her youngest son, Ayaan was eager to meet his friends and teachers.

She said learning in school would be much beneficial for children to study rather than studying at home.

“In schools, the teachers are more qualified in their respective subjects compared to parents at home,” she said.

“They have better experience and explanations whereas at home children Google for solutions which they could not find in books.”

Ms Lata also owns a daycare for children, is determined to take in more children despite the pandemic.

Ms Lata has been operating her preschool centre at her home in Nakasi.

The preschool started in April this year and it reopened on November 15 with six children, and more joining in from January 2022.

Ms Lata said the purpose of including more children into the facility was because they have built a brand new classroom.

“We have built a new room to give children more space and comfort,” she said.

“We currently have three children in our daycare centre and I welcome other children to come.”

She said children from three months to eight years are allowed in the centre.

“Taking more children is also a way to help those parents who have resumed duties. Our centre provides the services the children need during their growing age,” Ms Lata said.

“We provide free complementary meals throughout their stay and open at 6 am till 6 pm to cater for everyone’s need.”
