The Sau Ni Vanua of Qoibau in Macuata Province, Ratu Manoa Tuiwainikai and his people have given full support for candidate, Mosese Bulitavu and the FijiFirst party to form Government after the 2022 General Election.

Mr Bulitavu shares maternal links with the vanua and is related to Ratu Tuiwainikai’s family because his mother is from Korowiri Village.

The vanua consists four Yavusa and seven villages.

Apart from this support, Ratu Tuiwainikai, said the principles embedded in the FijiFirst Party to progressively move the country forward encouraged their villagers to vote for them.

He proudly said the developments undertaken by FijiFirst for the vanua include road upgrades and bridges indicating the commitment the Bainimarama-led party had always envisioned for their people.

“If the FijiFirst party is voted in again, we will request rural electrification works for one of our interior villages and access to clean drinking water,” he said.

Ratu Tuiwainikai emphasised FijiFirst had consistently proved itself in development projects such as free school fees, bus fare, social welfare assistance and aftercare to the exservicemen association were their many pillars. The 57-year-old said there was marked difference in the great leadership qualities of Prime

Minister Voreqe Bainimarama compared to political leaders like Sitiveni Rabuka.

“Mr Bainimarama is a humble and grounded person as he associates with people from all walks of life while this is far-fetched with the other leaders, who are arrogant,” he said.

So far, he confirmed the FijiFirst party had not engaged in any campaign in their vanua, however, they were determined that candidates will soon show up in the coming weeks, leading to December 14-polling day.

“Only some candidates from the Fiji Labour party (FLP) and National Federation Party (NFP) had campaigned in some settlements of their vanua,” he said.

Ratu Tuiwainikai assured all political parties wishing to campaign that they were open to discussions and campaigning in their area.
