Connecting with People, Taveuni next on Khan’s List

Altaab Khan has been in the Tourism Industry for two decades. He is the senior manager learning and capability at the Raffe Hotels & Resorts.

His first resort job was at the Shangri-La’s Fiji Resort and Spa as a Service Leader – Training Focused this was straight after he completed his hotel management course 20 years ago.

Mr Khan is an active social media influencer and also a Justice of Peace.

What are your hobbies?

It may sound crazy but I love to make Tik-tok videos, especially sing old Hindi numbers- the classics.

How many places have you visited around Fiji?

I have been to most places, Savusavu being my favourite and love to take the Kings road- its absolute the Natural Fiji.

Where is the one place in Fiji you would take visitors to?

Lomani Island Resort. It’s Adults only but one of the most tranquil spots on earth. You will fall in love with the landscape, the scene, the people who look after you and the food!

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to connect with people. I now have about 26K connection­s on LinkedIn and enjoy networking and learning. Lots of great programs to dive into and great content out there.

I am also part of the Youth Jobs Fiji which is Fiji’s largest Viber Group Network assisting many youths in our Country. This was founded by Shanil Chetty and I am glad to be part of this great interventi­on to mentor people across our group!

What is one place in Fiji that remains on your bucket list, and why?

Taveuni is my next place to be! I have already started planning my December break. It’s Fiji’s best eco-tourism and I don’t want to miss out on this wonder on earth.
