OTHER PARTIES ARE NOT THINKING LONG-TERM, SAYS SAYED-KHAIYUM

Other political parties are not thinking about the long-term, says FijiFirst general secretary, Aiyaz SayedKhaiyum.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum made the statement while speaking to party supporters at its rally at Uludu Grounds in Rakiraki yesterday. He encouraged the supporters that when they go and vote on December

14, they must choose a political party that would be able to deal with all situations.

He said other political parties and their leaders were only thinking up to their noses even before the 2022 General Election but not about the long term.

“When you go to vote in the election, any election and you need to choose a party to govern you, you must choose a party that can deal with situations now and can deal with situations in the future,” said

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum.

“You had COVID, you had Bainimarama’s FijiFirst that was able to deal with the crisis but at the same time was able to put in place policies for the future too, that’s what a Government must do. “Please don’t get misled by people, that’s what PAP (The People’s Alliance party) is doing, that’s what NFP (National Federation Party) is doing.” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the FijiFirst Government looked beyond their noses, borrowing money to build roads, bridges, jetties, connecting Fijians to electricity, to water and even during COVID making sure that nobody starves in Fiji.
