Instability, chaos in business will prevail if coalition is voted in: Bulitavu
Instability and chaos within the business landscape will be evident if the mandate is given to other parties to run our country.
FijiFirst Candidate, Mosese Bulitavu, made this claims during the party’s rally at Seaqaqa Primary School in Macuata Province on Wednesday night. Mr Bulitavu said he was aware of the possible changes because he had worked with them during his time as a SODELPA member. He said these leaders would review contractors and bring back companies in their circle of friends and offer them government projects and corrupted means of doing business.
“They would give them special preference and chance, so most of the other business not in their circle will suffer,” Mr Bulitavu said
The Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata (CBM) development advocate said these type of leaders if elected into power would create instability in our country.
Party general secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, reiterated similar sentiments. Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the economy of Vanua Levu got depressed when Mr Rabuka was Prime Minister.
This promoted Mr Voreqe Bainimarama to send Mr Inia Seruiratu to Vanua Levu as Commissioner Northern to develop and uplift the economy of Fiji’s second largest island.
“There is so much potential in Vanua Levu with roads now developed, more villages with seawall, electricity, water and improving internet connectivity infrastructure,” he said.
Sustainable democracy
FijiFirst candidate, Inia Seruiratu, said Fijians must vote wisely for them to ensure there is sustainable democracy and ensure economic growth continues. The former Commissioner Northern said it was imperative to continue the development of a national identity ‘Fijian’ and social cohesion.
A thriving social cohesion starts by forging healthy relationship with people from various races and ethnic groups.
Cohesion that ensured effective, enlightened, trustworthy and accountable leadership which was the fundamental principles of the FijiFirst party.
