The Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort has kicked of the month of December in a big way.

Multi Property Vice President and Sheraton Resorts Fiji Complex general manager Neeraj Chadha said this during the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Denarau on Thursday night.

The property also unveiled its Christmas tree which hung in the lobby.

Also to mark the event, the RFMF band performed their numbers while Narewa Village choir sang carols.

Also a three piece band entertained and the Vou Dance group presented their dance moves.

Kids were given presents and there was a full spread of unlimited canapes and drinks for guests in the lobby.

Mr Chadha said, “it was one year ago to the date that Fiji opened its door to all the visitors and boy, are we glad that day happened because this day is possible, if that day did not come.”

“Thank you for making this day possible. Four months later and $75 million into the renovation at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort.

“We are grateful to our business partners who supported us during the pandemic literally, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. It was a very tough period, cash flow was tight, and bills were not easy to be paid.

“Our guests are here and it makes sure our bills are paid in the journey of this resort. To our local guests, Australia, the United States and New Zealand are opening. Australian, Kiwi’s and Americans. Thank you for bringing Fijians back into employment and we’re loving it because you are spending good money actually. Keep that up.”

He thanked all associates who are here to rebuild their career as many lost their jobs, had reduced hours and thank you for your confidence.

“Through the course of this month, we have a vibrant colourful calendar of activities,” he said.
