Stylish Naitasiri boxer, Jese Ravudi, warned Robin Hazelman to come prepared in today’s Fiji middleweight title fight at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Ravudi tipped the scale at 70.70 kilogrammes during the official weigh-in at Nair’s Dais in Nadi yesterday.

The 10-round fight is the main bout of the South Pacific Boxing Promotions.

Hazelman, also made the weight limit at 71.62kg.

“I have heard that he (Hazelman) had been talking a lot about our fight,” Ravudi said.

“I spent only one week to train for this fight, I am spiritually, physically and mentality fit and will show this in the ring.”

Ravudi thanked his sponsors for their continued support.

Hazelman, who once fought in the super middleweight division is seeing this fight as an opportunity to stamp his mark.

Revenge

In the main supporting bout where the Fiji lightweight title is at stake, veteran boxer Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali weighed in at 56.70kg while lanky Krishneel Mudaliar hit the 58.30kg mark.

“Good to be back, and I’ll continue what my family is known for in the ring,” Farzan said.

“Age for me is just a number. It is a rematch and I am prepared for this.

“I’m calling on my fans to come out and support local boxers. I won’t let you down. I will sort him out.”

Mudaliar said, he was training hard under veteran trainer Osea Nanovu and had sparring sessions with Mikaele Ravolaca.

“Like I said before I will do my talking in the ring,” he said.

Kavika back

In the supporting bouts Navosa heavyweight boxer Jonasa Kavika is ready to jump into the ring against Semi Dauloloma.

Dauloloma is making his professional debut and was dubbed as the ‘knockout king’ while in amateur boxing.

“I have been preparing well, it has been quite a while for me to fight again,” Kavika said.

“My opponent is making his pro debut but is a champion boxer who has fought some good boxers too.”

Senidoko ready

In the cruiserweight six-round contest, Isikeli Senidoko says he is ready to take on the challenge of former World Boxing Association (WBA) International super welterweight champion King Davidson.

Senidoko tipped the scale at 74.85kg while King Davidson was at 81.20kg.

“This is a good opportunity for me to fight a champion boxer like Davidson,” Senidoko said.

“Results later but I guess I will learn a lot from him and this will assist me in my career.”

Davidson who was born in Lagos, Nigeria is now based in Sydney, Australia, has called on fans to come and watch him display his boxing skills and ringcraft against Senidoko.

The programme starts at 5pm.
