The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has advertised positions for board directors for 22 Government companies and statutory bodies.
Women have been strongly urged to apply.
The companies are; Airports Fiji Pte Ltd, Fijian Broadcasting Corporation Pte Ltd, Fiji Hardwood Corporation Pte Ltd, Fiji Meat Industry Board, Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Pte Ltd, Fiji Rice Pte Ltd, Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Ltd, Post Fiji Pte Ltd, Unit Trust of Fiji (Management) Ltd, Yaqara Pastoral Company Pte Ltd, Fiji Coconut Millers Pte Ltd, Pacific Fishing Company Pte Ltd, Biosecurity Authority of Fiji, Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji, Fiji Roads Authority, Housing Authority, Public Rental Board, Investment Fiji Board, Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji, Tourism

Key responsibilities include effectively representing and promoting the interests of shareholders, provide strategic advice and uphold high standards of leadership, good governance and transparency. In addition, board directors should achieve specific commercial and developmental objectives of the respective companies and statutory bodies in the changing business environment. Qualification for the posts are 10 years or more experience and knowledge either in Commerce, Financial Management, Human Resources, Engineering, Law, Sales and Marketing, Investment and Trade, Tourism, Risk Management, Information and Communication Technology, Process Re-engineering and Change Management. Furthermore, successful applicants should be committed to fairness, equality, access, openness and accountability.
Appointments will be done according to the Public Enterprises Act 2019. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2023.
