Mother of three hopes for best academic year
Priti Lata, a mother of three, is hoping 2023 will be another year of learning and growing. Ms Lata who is an entrepreneur and director of Priti’s Preschool and Daycare Center in Nakasi, is all geared up for this academic year for her children as well as for her Preschool children.
She said her eldest son, Abdul Zafar would be going to Year 13 and she was excited to see him completing his final year in college.
“My only daughter, Aisha Alia will be in Year 11 while my other son, Abdul Ayaan will go to Year 6,” she said.
She said she was spending as much time as she could with her children before they went back to school.
“I hope they have a good academic year and make me proud like always,” she added. Ms Lata started her Preschool & Daycare Center in November 2021.
Last year on December 3, the center children celebrated their first graduation as well as the center’s 1st Anniversary.
She said she manages her time and balances work with family time.
“I operate my center from home. I currently have 36 children in the center. I also offer nanny services from three months old baby to after school children to ease the working parents,” she said.
She said she was fortunate to have a very supportive husband and children who also
helped around during their breaks.
“In the center, I also feed all children with free four nutritional meals and hot beverages, free Diapers to average earning parents and single mothers plus provide all learning materials,” she said.
“I also cater for special needs children under five years of age to help them socialise and communicate with other children to build their confidence and be independent.” Ms Lata said my center not only taught moral values but focused on basic play based learning to prepare for kindergarten. “Children can only learn when their surroundings are fun. I prefer to keep them entertained so they can also learn their ABC’s and numbers in an exciting way.
“I wish all the children a very happy and fruitful 2023, all the best in your learning.”
