The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side is hosting the Melbourne Rebels at Prince Charles Park, Nadi for its pre-season trial match in two weeks.

The Fijian Drua is facing the Rebels Saturday, January 28.

Two Fijians are part of the Melbourne Rebels outfit this season. They are Ilikena Vudogo and Flying Fijians scrum-half Moses Sorovi.

This will be Drua’s first ever trial match in its second season of Super Rugby Pacific.

Prince Charles Park in Nadi is also for the first time hosting a Super Rugby Pacific match, while it is also the Melbourne Rebels first trip to Fiji. According to Fijian Drua head of commercial and marketing Shane Hussein the exciting games ticket will be out on sale on Monday.

“Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Monday January 16, selling at $6 for the embankment and $12 for the grandstand,” he said.

“It will be a great Saturday afternoon out for rugby lovers as our Drua take on an exciting Melbourne Rebels outfit packed with current and emerging Australia stars.

“Fans will also get to meet their Drua favourites after the match, which is always exciting especially for kids.” Hussein added this will also be a perfect opportunity for fans to get accustomed to the newly introduced Drua ticketing system.

“Fans will be able to purchase tickets for this match directly from their phones on the Drua website using MPaisa, debit or credit cards.

“We expect tickets will be snapped up pretty quickly once they go on sale on Monday and I urge fans to get on to www.drua.rugby/tickets early to avoid disappointment.”

Trial matches are great fun for spectators with the coaches fielding as many players as possible to get test them out in a competitive environment.

Fans will get to see all available Fijian Drua squad members in action.
