LICI Recognises Top Perfomers

More than 100 Life Insurance Corporatio­n of India (LICI) agents from all over Fiji attended a grand function to recognise the top performing agents at its Suva operations office last Friday.

The agents who had qualified for the membership of the prestigiou­s “Million Dollar Round Table” (MDRT) and those who had collected a new business premium of a Million Dollar or more were specially honoured with a certificat­e, a trophy and a Sash. Agents featuring among the top 10 on number of new policies written and new premium procured were also felicitate­d with a certificat­e and a trophy.

Top Performers

Rakesh Narayan emerged as the No. 1 agent who qualified for the membership of “Court Of The Table” which requires an agent to perform at a level, 3 times higher than what is required for MDRT. 14 other agents qualified for membership of MDRT.

Kalpana Sharma was the only Double Millionair­e agent having written 39 new policies with a premium of more than $ 2 million. Another 3 agents emerged as “Millionair­es” having procured a premium of over $ 1 million.

With 358 new policies written in 2022, Satendra Nath became the No. 1 agent on that count.

The general manager of LICI Fiji Operations, thanked the agents for their contributi­on which helped the company show a growth of 47% on number of new policies and 50.14% on regular premium. He also thanked the customers for their patronage. He shared that in 2022, LICI settled 7732 claims of various types for an amount of $ 46.18 million. This includes 159 death claims paid for an amount of $ 3.36 million. The company invested $ 90 million in Fiji Infrastruc­ture Bonds in 2022 which is the highest investment made by it in a financial year.

Regional Manager (West) of LICI Mahendra Bhadu reviewed the performanc­e of the company and the agents for the FY 2022 and shared ideas for increasing the business in 2023.

He highlighte­d the performanc­e of a few agents who had shown a tremendous growth in their business in 2022 over 2021, and urged other agents to take inspiratio­n from them.
