$150k Bayview Bar Opens in Lami
Bayview bar opened for business last Wednesday providing jobs to 10 experienced local coffee baristas, bartenders, waiters, waitresses, chefs and security.
The $150,000 bar was an investment by Avon investment company limited at RB Patel Complex- Harbor Point in Lami.
With its modern finishing, Bayview bar has a number of services to offer including a liquor bar, wine and dine, coffee, pastries, Chinese cuisine, Pizza, fish/chicken and chips and karaoke overlooking the Suva Harbour.
Company managing director Tekeshor Pal (Takesh) said their prices and services were competitive in the market.
“We’re giving very good deals on prices to make it affordable for customers who can enjoy it with the whole family over a sunset view,” he said.
“We wanted to give the bar a fresh and clean outlook so that we can attract people of all ages.”
The bar has a 65 inch television screen telecasting all sports channels on YouTube and Netflix.
“So while some may prefer beer whilst watching a rugby match, those not qualifying for liquor can enjoy a cup of mochaccino with some pastries or combo pack with very special prices,” he said.
“This is a good meeting place and we can also accommodate functions and parties.”
Mr Pal said Avon Investment looked to further invest in Fiji.
“We previously were hotel and resort operators and gained vast knowledge in the tourism industry.
“But we can see more potential with the hospitality industry in Fiji and we will be expanding in that sector,” he said.
A dash of industrial chic will also be added to the property, to pay homage to the historic industrial nature of commerce, in the Lami area.
The bar opens seven days a week from 10am to 9pm. Happy hours are from 4pm to 7pm.
