Suva Coffee Hub Opens this Weekend

- SOSIVETA KOROBIAU SUVA Feedback: sosiveta.korobiau@fijisun. com.fj

The Coffee Hub stamps its mark in the capital when it opens for business this weekend. Owner and self-made entrepreneur, Shakil ‘Zoro’ Bhamji said things got easier with the opening of the fourth outlet, as he grew accustomed to the difficulties previously encountered in setting up a business.

Skim over the work of carefully considered local art displayed at its first Suva cafe, and you would have gained an appreciation of the significance of advanced planning, a strong point for Zoro.

Take for instance the hand woven artworks that adorn the walls of one part of the interior at The Coffee Hub Suva interior – it brings with it the warmth of the Fijian vuvale feeling.

Suva’s newest café will bring the corner of Joske and Gordon streets to life, as a hotspot for the who’s who, and customers who pass through.

The Coffee Hub replaces the traditional family-owned steak and seafood grill Victoria Café, which operated for the past 15 years.

For patrons of The Coffee Hub – which are landmark features in Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba – the Suva opening is a much needed respite to the lack of breakfast options in the city, as the diner opens daily from 6am to 10pm.

In SunBiz’s daily Let’s Go Local segment – which promotes domestic hotspots – many in the C-suit section have listed The Coffee Hub as their personal or all-time favourite stopover for a coffee or pie.

Expanding to Suva was the most logical extension of their services following a hive of queries over the need for the service to be included in the capital city.

First class order

First-class.

That’s how The Coffee Hub Suva is best summed up.

First class surroundings, staffing, and menu, is the natural order of The Coffee Hub.

Zoro’s journey from his initial days of picking mangoes to sell by the roadside, to the ‘little café he started, to the growing chain of cafes around the country, is a testimony to his sheer determination to evolve into a continued success story.

From the early Nadi days of a blackboard menu in a little café with mismatched pieces of discarded furniture, The Coffee Hub Suva screams chic.

With over 25 experienced employees, The Coffee Hub Suva will by all accounts continue to live up to its reputation as a diners’ delight.
