Netball Fiji website to strengthen online presence
Netball Fiji launched its official website yesterday and signed a three-year partnership with its online and web developer partner Elevation Technologies at the Harvest Plaza in Kinoya, Nasinu.
NF chief executive officer Vivian Koster said the website would strengthen the online presence of netball in Fiji, with its stories and it would also be convenient for local and international players to reach out when expressing their interests.
“This is a long term goal, recognising that the website is a necessary tool now apart from the social media platforms,” Koster said.
“This is our opportunity to get our stories out there, you have noticed some of our stories have been picked up by World Netball and have been shared on their sites and newsletters. This is another way of getting our stories out and also for people to get in touch with us,” she added.
Elevation Technologies founding member Navinesh Chand said Netball Fiji was the first sporting organisation they worked together to develop their website.
The work on the website started in 2021 when they founded their technology company.
“This website has been working for a while now; there have been some changes – back and forth exchanges between two parties,” he said.
“We are very young company made up of friends from university; we reached out to Netball
Fiji and we are grateful that they wanted to partner with us. As the sport of netball is growing in the country, we wanted to help the organisation in enabling its reach to a wider audience.”
The webite has various features which includes newsletter, current Pearls teams’ profiles, competitions and events and experience netball which consists of online application forms for volunteers and umpires.
