Group launches corporate social responsibility initiative
Nadi-based staff of the Capital Insurance Limited group launched its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at the Golden Age Home in Natabua, Lautoka last Friday. During the launch, the staff also handed over a few gifts to the residents of the facility.
The group’s spokesperson, Archana Ashmita, said the objective of the initiative was to implement the programme which was consistent with the goals and visions of CSR impacting the community.
The theme of the group’s CSR is: ‘light of hope – together, we can become the lights of hope for the less fortunate and the disabled’. Ms Ashmita said the launch of the CSR initiative was in accordance with four different pillars. “Environmental, where we will focus to support and promote sustainable development of the natural environment, conservation of ecosystem and natural habitat of both plants and animals,” she said. “Our second pillar is social wellbeing whereby we initiate to support opportunities to improve health, safety, justice, and general community welfare. She added the fourth pillar was based on charity thus the visitation to the home in support of its goals and objectives. com.fj
