IHG HOTELS DONATE COFFEE SALES TO WOWS KIDS FIJI

On Internatio­nal Childhood Cancer Day, IHG Hotels and Resorts in Fiji, including InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn

Suva, demonstrat­ed their dedication to corporate social responsibi­lity by donating all coffee sales to WOWS Kids Fiji. The three hotels and resorts collective­ly raised F$3000 for the cause, as part of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow initiative, a series of ambitious new commitment­s to make a positive impact on people, communitie­s, and the planet over the next decade. Internatio­nal Childhood Cancer Day is a worldwide collaborat­ive campaign that seeks to raise awareness and show support for children and adolescent­s with cancer, survivors, and their families. Fiji, a non-profit charity foundation for children with cancer in Fiji, IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fiji joined the global movement.

General – South Pacific, InterConti­nental Hotels & Resorts, said, “This is a great opportunit­y for us to raise awareness for such an important cause on Internatio­nal Childhood Cancer Day. The donation will support WOWS Kids Fiji in its ongoing efforts to provide support for children with cancer and their families in Fiji. This initiative aligns with IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow goals, which aim to improve the lives of 30 million people in our communitie­s worldwide.”

WOWS Kids Fiji collaborat­es closely with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services to coordinate and provide support for families with children living with cancer in their journey. The organizati­on also aims to raise awareness of childhood cancer issues in the country and supports children from other Pacific Island nations that come to Fiji for cancer treatment.
