IHG HOTELS DONATE COFFEE SALES TO WOWS KIDS FIJI
On International Childhood Cancer Day, IHG Hotels and Resorts in Fiji, including InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn
Suva, demonstrated their dedication to corporate social responsibility by donating all coffee sales to WOWS Kids Fiji. The three hotels and resorts collectively raised F$3000 for the cause, as part of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow initiative, a series of ambitious new commitments to make a positive impact on people, communities, and the planet over the next decade. International Childhood Cancer Day is a worldwide collaborative campaign that seeks to raise awareness and show support for children and adolescents with cancer, survivors, and their families. By donating to WOWS Kids
Fiji, a non-profit charity foundation for children with cancer in Fiji, IHG Hotels & Resorts in Fiji joined the global movement.
Lachlan Walker, Area
General – South Pacific, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, said, “This is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness for such an important cause on International Childhood Cancer Day. The donation will support WOWS Kids Fiji in its ongoing efforts to provide support for children with cancer and their families in Fiji. This initiative aligns with IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow goals, which aim to improve the lives of 30 million people in our communities worldwide.”
WOWS Kids Fiji collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services to coordinate and provide support for families with children living with cancer in their journey. The organization also aims to raise awareness of childhood cancer issues in the country and supports children from other Pacific Island nations that come to Fiji for cancer treatment.
Mere Lutuciri Williams, Team Leader of WOWS Kids Fiji, expressed gratitude for the partnership with IHG Hotels in Fiji.
