Radisson Blu wins two awards
The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji on Denarau Island was thrilled to receive the Accommodation Deluxe Award category over other prestigious hotels on the finalist list.
The team is a proud winner in two categories at the recent ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards for 2022 event held last week at the Sofitel Fiji Resort.
Being one of the few in Fiji that remained
open and pioneered the ‘Love our Local’ campaign throughout the pandemic, and seamlessly transitioned to the borders re-opening, they pride themselves in reflection on the theme of this year’s awards “Celebrating Resilience and Recovery in Tourism.
General Manager, Charles Homsy said this was a testament to the management’s strategies in repositioning the resort back in the market to mitigate the post-pandemic travel comeback and give it a head start. “Receiving two awards is an incredible
honor and is a true reflection of the quality, service and hard work of the team at the resort,” he said.
“A huge vinaka vakalevu (thank you) to the team who continue to work hard every day, care for our guests; provide great service with the ‘Yes I can’ attitude, and most importantly have fun while doing it.”
The resort is also incredibly proud of its ambassador, Mosese Tagivetaua (famously known as ‘Holy Moses’ to all guests) for winning Silver in the Cultural Tourism Champion category. A huge congratulation to ‘Holy Moses’!
“We always participate in Fijian life and its tourism so it is nothing new for us. We are happy that we have gained this but we don’t work for that, but for the love of the business,” he said.
“We will always do our part for Fiji. We have a very beautiful occupancy, and forward bookings look great.”
