Encourage every woman and girl to become better versions of themselves

- RANOBA BAOA Feedback:

It’s International Women’s Day and today we are reminded of the women and girls who are breaking glass ceilings in the workplace, in school, in their communities, in politics, in the business world, in sports and in their homes.

These women are a force to be reckoned with as they have overcome the various barriers that were once set to prevent them from advancement.

Be it in engineering, architecture, in the information technology sector, the medical profession, in farms, on the frontlines at war and protecting our borders, these women are paving the way for our future women leaders.

We congratulate you for your zeal and agility to strive in a world that is slowly but surely changing its mindset of its view and place of women in society. We remember those women who have passed away, who elevated women’s place in society, who shaped our thinking and inspired us to forge on. We remember the women who fought their own personal demons, underwent violence at the hands of their partners and came out stronger – you are courageous.

We turn to the men – the father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, community leader, chief executive officer and politician who encouraged and supported them as they continue their studies – we appreciate you.

The theme for today’s celebration is DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for gender equality.

Let us be inclusive in our thinking, diverse in our approach and ensure that every woman and girl is given the space and platform to become better versions of themselves.
