- Source: REALB

The Board proudly celebrates International Women’s Day, by recognizing the significant contributions by women and importantly to reaffirm its commitment to gender equality in the industry. In 2008, the Real Estate Agents Licensing Board (REALB) approved its first five female agents’ licenses, allowing women to join the real estate sector, as an initial step towards its longer-term commitment to gender diversity.

This was a huge stride towards breaking gender barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Today, REALB is pleased to have a diverse team of real estate professionals.

There are currently 84 active agents in the industry, of which 24 are women, compared to 26 women out of 87 agents last year and17 out of 83 agents in 2021.

For salespersons, 128 of the 319 registered are female, a decrease from the 175 females registered in 2021 and 2022.

For branch managers, three of the current seven are female, compared to four in 2021 and three in 2022.

Women bring unique perspectives and insights useful to the industry and the REALB recognizes the need to promote diversity and inclusivity in the industry by supporting women in real estate.

Specifically, the Registrar Mr Peni Komainavoka says the Board is proud to highlight the achievements of its three female board members who represent the voices of women at all levels of the industry.

In line with the theme of International Women’s Day of Digital: Innovation and Technology for gender equality, the REALB is committed to raising greater awareness in the fight to create a more inclusive and equitable industry for all.

The REALB recognizes the vital role played by women who have been an integral part of the industry’s success.

On this International Women’s Day, the REALB proudly honors all our women for their achievements and their contribution to industry, society and the world.
