Fijians shine at Super stats
Masi is our top performer as Drua wins the most number of rucks
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre is one of our top performers after the fourth round of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
This was revealed by the Super Rugby statistics.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games gold medallist tops the Drua’s try scoring list with four tries closely followed by Tevita Ikanivere and Joseva Tamani with
three. Topping the try scoring list is Chiefs fullback Shaun Stevenson with seven. On Clean Breaks, Masi has recorded seven while Stevenson leads with nine.
Fiji-born Moana Pasifika winger Timoci Tavatavanawai has 27 Defenders Beaten followed by Masi and Reds speedster Filipo Daugunu with 16.
Lock Isoa Nasilasila, is our money man winning 16 Lineouts while Brumbies lock Nick Frost tops the list with 22. Openside flanker Kitione Salawa has made 47 Tackles while Crusaders Tom Christie is in the front with 67.
Three Fijian descent players lead the Offload list. They are Hoskins Sotutu of the Blues with 10 followed by Waratahs winger Mark Nawaqanitawase and Salesi Rayasi of the Hurricanes with nine. Sotutu made 59 Carries and recorded 517 in Metres Carried to top both categories.
TEAMWORK
In the Team stats, the Drua won 96 per cent of the Rucks to top the category while Saturday’s opponent Highlanders have won 90 per cent of the scrums with the Drua at 83 per cent.
In terms of discipline, the Drua has copped three Yellow Card with the Blues topping the list with six.
Competition leaders Chiefs have scored 22 tries while the Drua managed 15. The Chiefs have made 40 Clean Breaks compared to the Drua’s 26.
The Blues have made 538 Carries with Metres Carried at 4303 while the Drua has managed 436 Carries with 3111 Metres Carried.
The Chiefs top the Defenders Beaten list with 132 while the Drua has 87. In winning lineouts, the Rebels have an impressive 90.9 per cent while the Drua has 78.6 per cent. The Hurricanes has made 54 Offloads with the Drua at 47.
