Ticket prices reduced, Drua anticipate­s sell out matches

Tickets to the two Fijian Drua Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific home games in Lautoka and Suva have been reduced.

With the mission to sell-out both matches first against giants’ the Blues at Churchill Park on April 29 and the Hurricanes at the HFC Bank Stadium on May 6.

Drua chief executive officer Mark Evans said the new prices reflect the Club’s on-going assessment of the Fiji market.

“We have now played two home matches, the atmosphere has been electric, we are yet to see a sold-out match,” Evans said.

“The team needs its 16th player behind them as they take on the best teams in Super Rugby Pacific, and we have adjusted our ticket prices to get even more of our amazing fans at the stadiums.”

Tickets - Churchill Park on April 29 against the Blues:

TappooCity grass embankment (North Grass) area is $20;

Main embankment area (East Grass), is $35 for adults and $20 for U-14’s;

WaiTui Stand with reserved bucket seats, located on the corner of the field at the Verona Street end of Churchill Park cost $50 (adults) and $25 for U14; Timber Stand has been split in two, with the section closer to the try zone at the TappooCity end (called ‘Timber 2’) is $70 (adults) and $35 (U14);

Timber 1 category is the timber stand section closer to the halfway line is $95 (adults) and $50 (U14);

The newly constructe­d southwest stands have also been split in two. Southwest Silver, (between 5 metre line and try zone on the Verona Street end), is now $120 (adults) and $60 (U14);

Southwest Gold, with a better central view closer to the 22m line is $150 flat. Both Southwest Stands have reserved bucket seats.

Grandstand, with the best seats in the house remain at $180.

Tickets – HFC Bank Stadium on May 6 against the Hurricanes:

The main grandstand has been split into four sections, as follows:

Bronze section is $75 (adults), $30 (U14) Silver section is $100 (adults), $50 U14) Gold is $120 flat

Platinum remains $180.

Evans stated: “We have introduced more reductions for the children in more categories than ever before. The Drua is a team of the people, and we hope these reduced ticket prices will enable as many fans as possible to cheer on their heroes.

“We’re also very keen to see which stadium – Lautoka or Suva – is the first to sell-out this season. There really is nothing like experienci­ng the atmosphere of a Drua home match.”

Evan added: “You really couldn’t get two stronger teams for back to back home matches in Fiji than the Blues and Hurricanes. Both have a number of All Blacks.

“The Blues have names like Beauden Barrett, Hoskins Sotutu, Rieko Ioane, Akira Ioane, Caleb Clark and Mark Telea. The Hurricanes boast players like All Blacks captain Ardie Savea, Jordie Barrett, Dane Coles and Kini Naholo. These are matches our Drua players are excitedly looking forward to with the support of the world’s best rugby fans.” Tickets for both matches are now selling live on the Fijian Drua website, with in-store purchases at Jacks of Fiji outlets available from tomorrow, Thursday, April 13.
