- WAISEA NASOKIA Edited by Karalaini Waqanidrola

New find Sigatoka Valley boxing champion Junior Binnu Singh is anxious to claim Fiji’s Super Bantamweight title at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi tomorrow.

Singh takes on Rahul Kumar of Korovuto, under the Kiran Boxing

Promotions banner.

Promoter Ben Krishna said: “This is the fight I wanted to feature but, a lot has been said about it. I do respect what people say but this fight will go on.”

“For certain I know that Singh is undefeated in this division and he is young.

“On the other hand, Rahul has some unfinished business with his opponent and hope they can sort it out.”

Singh, 22, since his pro debut in 2019 is undefeated after six fights. He defeated Rahul in Nadi last year for the flyweight title.

Boxer Nathan Singh said: “This card here I can guarantee are war like battles.”

Last year in Nadi, Singh defeated Korovuto boxer Ritesh Gounder; it was supposed to be the Fiji Super Flyweight title but both boxers were over the limit. Singh came in as a bantamweight while Gounder was a super bantamweight. Although the super flyweight title/belt was awarded to Singh, it was not recognised by Boxrec.
