Women in business taught about fiNANCE MANAGEMENT TOOLS
When operating a business, you need to innovate, think outside the box, bring in ideas to boost your business. Financial independence is important for women in business and to achieve your business expenses, record keeping in a must. This were the words of Women in Business president, Nur Bano Ali during the business
information session with the flea market vendors.
The session was focused on the discussions between the women vendors and Ms Ali on the business issues faced by these vendors and coming up with solutions to progress. There were 18 women who are operating tailoring business, catering business, boutique and other businesses, attended the meeting.
Ms Ali said record keeping was important because it would calculate your monthly income and expenses to know where your business is going.
“This is what the banks would want to see. If you want to apply for loans, the banks will require records on your business. Recording keeping is the best management tool for businesses to progress,” she said.
“We will always support women operating a business and we will help and teach you on how to use it record keeping tools.”
She said women doing business were independent and hard working as they look after their family and also run their business. “This mentality empowers every women and makes them strong and confident. You have your own money, that’s what empowerment is about,” Ms Ali said.
“We want to help the women to get bigger and better. It is my dream to see women in business grow. We can dream big and take it to the next level.”
PFK Aliz Pacific’s head of corporate secretarial and business development, Rahul Prasad demonstrated on how to keep records of business sales, expenses, income and profit on Microsoft excel.
Mr Prasad said daily record would enable them to know how much profit they are making and it was better if they do it on a weekly basis.
