‘ASPIRATIONS’ that you must carry within you while joining a new organization!

Compete with yourself- As you join an organization and become a part of a department or a team the first thing you must do is to start competing with yourself rather than trying to compete with your colleagues. How can you do this? Well, the answer is simple. Every day you must try your best to become better than what you were yesterday. I remember my boss telling me on the first day of my job, “Hey Mayur, if you want to be the best in the team then the best thing for you to do is to keep ‘BETTERING yourself’ on a continuous basis. Competing with your team members is okay but what is best is you competing with yourself!” Thanks to him, I became keen to see myself transform for the better and within a few weeks the positive results began to show in terms of my overall performance at work.
Be a TEAM-LEADER- You must have the intense aspiration to become a successful leader in your team. But, for that to happen, apart from the various attributes that you must possess, it is necessary for you to become an excellent and effective TEAM-PLAYER. After joining an organization one of the things you must immediately do is develop a wonderful connection and rapport with each and every team member as well as other employees in the organization and help them out wherever and whenever required. Remember the two words that will help you achieve the aspiration of becoming a team leader,Cooperation and Collaboration.
The Go-to Person- To become successful you must aspire to become someone who is perceived as the‘Go-To Guy’.You must be looked at as someone who can help in resolving challenges or problems of different kinds. You must also become the one who people want to go to for gaining knowledge and for providing solutions.
The most ‘INNOVATIVE’ personAn important aspiration you must always harbor in yourself is to become highly innovative in your team. Start becoming more creative and aspire to be perceived as an ‘out- of box thinker’. Every day you must try and aspire to explore new and innovative ‘IDEAS’.
