Farm Mechanisation important to fulfill demand of crops and vegetation: Hussein
Global Machinery Pte Limited has a high demand for Farmtrac Tractors. They started importing Tractors in the year 2020, as a way to assist farmers and contribute towards Agriculture sector.
The company has been business since 1973 and their product service, reliability and on ground approach is second to none.
They became agents of Farmtrac Tractors in Fiji due to shortage of Labour in Fiji as there was a demand for Farm Mechanisation.
Global Machinery director, Hamzah Hussein said Farm Mechanisation eased intensive labour work, and allowed machinery to do jobs in 1/10th of the time compared to labours working.
“Global Machinery executives then visited the Escorts Limited. Escorts Limited is owned by the Nanda Family, Nikhil Nanda as the chief executive officer,” he said.
“Nikhil Nanda is the son in law of famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachan. Global Machinery signed an exclusive agreement for Tractor Distribution, Repair and Service in Fiji for Farmtrac Tractors.
“Farmtrac Tractors are based on Previous Ford Models – as Escorts once manufactured tractors for Ford. in order to bring innovative technology, Escorts has now come into partnership with Japanese giants Kubota. Escorts is now knowns as Escorts Kubota
Limited.”
Mr Hussein said Tractors helped farmers get their required task completed in very less time compared to using labour.
“Tractors save Labour cost, also helping achieve higher yield. Once a farmer buys a tractor, and it is well looked after it can be passed from generation to generation,” he said.
“My advice to farmers: Farm Mechanisation is now really important. Every Farm in
Fiji must now use Farm Mechanisation products in order to fulfill demand of crops and vegetation.”
He also said Farmtrac Tractors are based on Previous Form Models, ensuring Reliability, and Dependability. Farmtrac Tractor Body is full metal, ensuring robust built. “We stock a whole range from 30HP, 50HP, 75HP & 90HP – All in 4 Wheel Drive. We have sold 80+ Units in Fiji. The cost is ranging from $23k to $64K,” Mr Hussein added.
He said Global Machinery was agents for reputable brands in the Agriculture sector. “We Stock Farmtrac Tractors, Shaktiman Farm Implements, Shaktiman Sugar Cane Harvester Parts, Rice Harvester Machines, Ascenso Branded Agri Tyres from India etc. We also stock Vegetable seeds from India,” he said.
“We also have inhouse trained Mechanics who have travelled to India ensuring the best after sales service.”
