Nadroga Rugby to build on 2023 success
The Nadroga Rugby Union senior executives have set big goals for the 2024 season. The move is aimed at upgrading their roles and responsibilities, as well as improving their structures to provide a sustainable and thriving rugby union for all.
This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday by NRU secretary Erami Tawalo.
Firstly, he said, the union would extend their gratitude to their loyal supporters who have stood by them. “The unwavering dedication and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our success and growth, and we are excited to welcome the year 2024,” Tawalo said. “We are excited to build on these
achievements and continue to strive for excellence this year.”
He said the goals for this season
include:
■ Enhancing the development of our local talent by implementing a comprehensive training programme for young players, ensuring they receive the best possible coaching and resources.
Strengthening our partnerships with local businesses and organisations to foster a strong community spirit and support the growth of rugby in Nadroga.
Investing in our facilities to create a world-class rugby experience for players, fans, and visitors alike.
Promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play both on and off the field.
“Our supporters’ commitment to the Nadroga Rugby Union has made a world of difference.
“We are eager to share our plans and progress with them this year. Together, we will create a legacy that celebrates the spirit of rugby and the Nadroga community,” he added.
