PARAMOUNT CHIEFS SUPPORT TLTB OPERATIONS AND FUTURE PLANS Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu commends changes and developments in TLTB’s future direction of reconnecting with chiefs and landowners and empowering them in commerce and investment.

Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, have given their blessings and support to the operations and future plans of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB). The TLTB hosted Ratu Naiqama in Suva this week for an update on its operations and future plans.

TLTB interim chief executive officer Solomoni Nata highlighted the new lease funds distribution formula for the Turaga iTaukei, Turaga ni Yavusa, and Turaga ni Mataqali; iTaukei Wealth Fund and Minors Funds before a full presentation by the senior managers on corporate and operational matters of the Board.
Ratu Naiqama was not only pleased, but also emotional being a former employee and manager of the Board. He commended the changes and developments in TLTB’s future direction of reconnecting with chiefs and landowners and empowering them in commerce and investment.
VISIT TO TLTB OFfiCE
His visit to the TLTB office marked the completion of the round of visits by the heads of the three confederacies, all of whom have given their support and blessing to TLTB to continue serving as their faithful stewards. “Ratu Naiqama shared some useful and wise hints for us to delve into further, reflecting his deep understanding and experiences,” Mr Nata said. “His visit underscores the importance of our work and the impact it has on the communities we serve. He shared his profound commitment to the iTaukei when he started at the then NLTB where the driver was paid
more than him, but it did not deter him one bit.”
TLTB officials also visited the Tui Macuata and President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, who gave his full support and reminded our people to continue to make a positive impact for the iTaukei and the development of their land and its people. “Together, we are achieving remarkable milestones at TLTB,” he said. “We are excited about the future as we continue to serve and empower our chiefs and landowners who render their commitments, support and encouragement to the TLTB management for a paradigm shift in empowering landowners, especially a more secure and an enriched future generation,” Mr Nata said.
