Uciwai TIV gets in players to reinforce performance
The Aaron Naicker-captained Uciwai TIV Sangam side has roped in players for better performance in the 95th TISI Sangam Inter District Championship to kick-off at the Prince Charles Park, Nadi today.
The side includes Prashan Reddy, and James Naicker, with Aryan Deo, Ritesh Naidu, Tarun Reddy, Ashnil Naicker, and Under 16 reps Pawan Pillay, Rynal Naicker. Majority of the mentioned players play for the Army FC side that presently competes in the Nadi Football Association local league. Coach Hitesh Goundar said they have a pretty good team with players playing in the 2024 Nadi FA local league championships which got underway last Sunday.
The side is in pool 7 with favourites Rakiraki, Botany (NZ), and Suva.
“This is also giving the team the needed exposure. We will take our chances and hope to go past the pool games,” Goundar said. “While we are expecting a bumper crowd we are also urging members to come down to Nadi for the
Easter weekend to witness a great display of football,” he said.

Lautoka’s Rifle Range is the Super Premier defending champion after beating Nadi last year under floodlights.
Sixty-six teams with 21 teams from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States of America will compete in the Super Premier, Premier, and Over 40s divisions.
