Singh to represent Fiji in Taiwan competition
Miss Face of Beauty Fiji Sunishma Singh will be flying the Fijian flag at the Miss Face of Beauty International 2024 Pageant in Taiwan in September. Ms Singh, 28, said she started preparing for the pageant in January.
“Hard work and determination were key factors in getting me to where I am today,” she said.
The Tourism Fiji sustainability officer said the theme of the pageant would be animal welfare.
“Each contestant must submit a video titled ‘I am me’ showing her country and their cause. As Miss Face of Beauty, I’m excited to collaborate on projects with the World Supermodel contestants and the team, focusing on animal welfare initiatives throughout the year.
“Additionally, I am thrilled to represent Fiji in the Face of Beauty 2024 pageant in Taiwan in September, where I’ll advocate for sustainability, a field I’m deeply interested in. Alongside promoting Fiji as a breathtaking destination, I’ll also emphasise its commitment to environmental stewardship.”
Taking part in the pageant is not new to her; she participated in the Miss Hibiscus Festival in 2015.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to my mother, Sunita Devi, for her unwavering support and encouragement,” she said.
Ms Singh attended DAV Primary School in Ba and DAV College in Nabua, Suva.
Face of Beauty International was created in 2012. The title ‘Face of Beauty International’ has grown to become an internationally renowned beauty pageant.
The international pageant has been hosted in Thailand, Taiwan, Mongolia, India and the Philippines.
