Amother’s love for her children’s wellbeing is the source of strength that helped Eunice Rainima strive through life.

Living away from family at a time while pursuing her studies, her mom’s words of encouragement and faith always brought her comfort.

Now pursuing a career in an international development organisation, Ms Rainima gives credit to her mother’s unwavering support and love.

“My mom is Kaisuni Rainima and is 57 years old and hails from Lomanikoro, Bau, Tailevu. Youngest of six and is a mother of five and grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren,” Ms Rainima said.

“She is my confidant – someone I can share anything with.”

Ms Rainima said her mom’s resilience in her faith has been a testment to the way her siblings have been raised.

“My mother has had her share of struggles raising us and I am so thankful that even in the midst of her storms, she was able to give us the love we all needed from her which really is just an outpouring of love and grace she’s experienced from Jesus.”

Two important lifelong lessons that she was taught while growing up, were forgiveness and prayer.

“Forgiveness – it is never good to harbour unforgiveness in your heart, release forgiveness, it’s really good for you.

“Prayer – give your troubles to God, He has all the answers and is the giver of Peace.

“She’s always encouraged me to pray about things first and then go ahead with decisions I need to make.”

Ms Rainima said there was no words that could describe her mother who has been her greatest supporter.

She is most proud of her mother’s love for Jesus and that she teaches her siblings to love Jesus like she does.

“A mother’s love is the beacon that lights our way through life’s journey, a love that is unwavering and full of grace”.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful Mothers.”
