Tuisese Jr: Play smart

- By WAISALE KOROIWASA

HOOKER Seremaia Naureure will face-off with his former teammates as Naitasiri named its line-up to face Nadroga in their Skipper Cup competition clash at Ratu Cakobau Park today.

Naureure played for Nadroga for a number of years but returned to Naitasiri and has been a seasoned campaigner for his province for the past few seasons.

Coach Dr Ilaitia Tuisese Jr has named a relatively top side in this important match as his team aimed to play smart rugby to match the Stallions power.

During training this week, the Naitasri guru told his warriors, playing smart rugby will be key when they take on Nadroga.

“You have to play smart rugby, you have to weigh your options properly in every game and not get caught in the moment,” Tuisese said.

He also stressed to his players on having the right attitude with a few more rounds to play in the competition.

“The competition is only getting harder and you have to have the right attitude for every game ahead.”

The side is boosted with the naming of Flying Fijians props Joeli Veitayaki and Samu Tawake.

The experienced Veitayaki, Naureure, skipper Isireli Kaloucava and Kini Douglas will spearhead the side’s clash against their traditional rivals.

The Highlanders are seven points behind leaders Suva with 32 points while Nadroga has 30 points in third spot. Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy holders Namosi is in fourth position with 29 points.

Back with Naitasiri after the Marist 7s is Fiji 7s squad member Anasa Qaranivalu.
