Grassroots development boost for FVF

FIJI Volleyball Federation in its search fror corporate companies to help the sport financially has managed to seal a deal with China Railway 5, who will be their development partners for the next three years.
FVF president Liga Gukisuva said they were excited to announce the first gift which was handed over on Friday.
“China Railway is committed to assist FVF with their development program especially from grassroots level,” Gukisuva said.
His ideas were shared by Liu Bingyong, finance manager China Railway, saying they have a proud track record of actively supporting charities, sporting clubs and the local community.
Gukisuva said FVF was delighted to have the support of Jin Ming, general manager of the company, for the 2020 season and FVF looked forward to building a positive relationship with the China Railway this year.
In accepting the sponsorship, Gukisuva also offered the services of its members should China Railway need casual workers in their many projects around Fiji.
“We have a huge number of members who are available Fiji-wide to be employed in the development sector should they wish to explore the opportunity, they’re now our vuvale and we would like to return the favour by offering our services for some tangible returns as well,” he said.
The first tournament for FVF — the NCC will be held on October 30-31 at the
Fiji Sports Council facilities in Suva, West and North all on the same date.
