With the rich panoply of the Roman Catholic Church the newly-created Archdioces­e of Suva was proclaimed and the former Vicar Apostolic, the Most Reverend Victor Foley, was enthroned as the first Archbishop in the packed Cathedral of the Sacred Heart yesterday. Thirty-three year old Father Petero Mataca was appointed to the Vicar General, the 2nd highest cleric in the archdioces­e.
