Multimillion dollar subdivisional lots near completion
A NEW residential subdivision with 85 lots is nearing completion in Natabua, Lautoka.
Developed by one of the country's largest real estate developers, Challenge Engineering, the new subdivision would be a gated residential community with 1000square unit lots.
Heading the project is Challenging Engineering subsidiary Mobile Crane Hire Services which has been part of large multimillion dollar projects such as the Lautoka and Nadi Police Stations.
Mobile Crane Hire Services general manager Krishneel Reddy said they were pleased with the progress of the multimillion dollar project that would provide affordable residential lots for new homeowners.
“This is a high end subdivision which will be gated as well,” he said.
“There are 85 lots with each lot averaging a quarter acre or 1000 square metres.
“It's a fully serviced lot with all of the necessary amenities including footpaths, drainage systems, and underground water and electricity lines.
“We are planning to complete all of the civil engineering works by the end of June and begin selling the residential lots right after that.
“We are already 40 per cent into the project and we should be completing the project by June 30.”
He said the two-year project has also provided relief to 13 people affected by COVID-19.
“We recruited them specifically for this project but now we've decided to take them on for our other projects that we have lined over the coming months.
“One of the positive things to happen from this project was that we were able to employ those who were laid off from their jobs last year.
“Now looking to the future we have new subdivisions that are going to be developed in Nadi and the Central Division,” he said.
