Players set for religious assignments

-

GREETINGS to all.

The Fiji football competitions take a break this weekend to allow our players and officials a long weekend Easter break but football continues as some of the district players will be playing for their respective districts in religious tournaments around the country.

We would like to wish all the participating teams taking part in their religious tournaments.

On the other hand the Digicel Premier League round four was interesting last weekend with mixed results. Labasa registered its first win in the competition beating Nadroga in a tough clash to maintain its unbeaten run in the competition.

Lautoka created a major upset when they defeated points table leader Ba 2-1 and Nadi won 1-0 against Suva. Rewa also registered its first win beating Navua 2-1.

The weekend break will surely give all the teams recovery as the competition will heat up after the break.

The Vodafone Senior League competition has also been competitive as all the teams are targeting a spot in the Premier

Division. Tailevu Naitasiri and Nasinu are unbeaten in two rounds and are favourites this season.

This season is getting the hype as all the grades competition have been amazing as the Premier Division. The fans are enjoying it as well and we hope we all will get together and grow football in Fiji.

On behalf of Fiji FA board and staff I would like to wish you all a blessed and pleasant Easter weekend.

God bless you all.
