NADI partner for Tax, Transactio­ns and Accounting (TTA) for KPMG Fiji Practice, Renu Chand will speak on leadership towards 2030 at the TOPEX conference in May.

She said her presentati­on would share experience­s during these uncertain times and how it shaped the way they worked towards 2030.

“I will also give insights of a recent global survey launched by KPMG of 500 CEOs from the world’s most influentia­l companies proving their outlook on the economic and business landscape and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.

“I will also focus on how business leaders in Fiji were forced to have a change in mindset starting from our first lockdown as business disruption and rapid economic change continues to evolve.

“The role we play in our communitie­s is something I am very passionate about and a core value of who we are at KPMG.

“I will share our CSR initiative­s that we carried out in Nadi and the wider community.

“Finally, I will make some broad observatio­ns on how we as business leaders can promote serious diversific­ation in our economy which will bring out sustainabi­lity and moving into the right direction by 2030,” she said.

Ms Chand is a Fellow Chartered Accountant member of the Chartered Accountant­s Australia and New Zealand.

She is the National IT security officer and Privacy Liaison Officer for KPMG Fiji.

Ms Chand is also the vice-president of the Fiji New Zealand Business Council, member of the advisory board of the School of Business & Economics at the University of Fiji, former chair of the South Pacific Stock Exchange annual report competitio­n and a former judge for Women in Business awards, Prime Minister’s Excellence Awards and Fiji Sports Annual Awards.
